剛來台灣的人，最優先需要做的除了取得 SIM 卡 才能開始使用手機之外，尋覓合適的手機門號方案更是必須接著做的事。辦理門號時，請留意下列注意事項：

For newcomers to Taiwan, after obtaining a SIM card to activate your phone, the next important step is finding a suitable mobile plan. Please pay attention to the following points when applying for a mobile number:
 

1. 準備雙證件 Prepare Two Identification Documents

請攜帶您的護照正本和外僑居留證正本（有效期需超過 6 個月），並確保居留證上有您的居住地址。
Bring your original passport and your original ARC (Alien Resident Certificate), which must be valid for more than six months. Also ensure that your residence address is shown on the ARC.

 

2. 選擇電信公司  Choose a Telecom Provider

您可以選擇如中華電信、台灣大哥大或遠傳等電信公司。這些公司都為外籍人士提供月租型的手機門號。但這些服務不能在線上申請，您需臨櫃辦理。
You can choose telecom companies such as Chunghwa Telecom, Taiwan Mobile, or FarEasTone. These companies provide postpaid mobile plans for foreign residents, but applications must be completed in person at the service counter (not online).

申辦遠傳電信門號時，無需提供居住地址；但申辦中華電信或台灣大哥大門號時，則須提供居住地址。
When applying at FarEasTone, no residence address is required. However, Chunghwa Telecom and Taiwan Mobile require you to provide your residence address.

請留意：外籍人士只能在中華電信的直營店申請月租型手機門號，神腦特約店不提供此服務；台灣大哥大及遠傳則無此限制。
Note: Foreigners can only apply for Chunghwa Telecom's postpaid plans at official Chunghwa-operated stores. Senao (authorized dealer) stores do NOT provide this service. Taiwan Mobile and FarEasTone do not have this restriction.
 

3. 填寫申請表  Fill Out the Application Form

您需要填寫申請表格，並提交護照正本和外僑居留證正本。
You will need to complete the application form and submit your original passport and ARC.
 

4. 繳納費用  Payment and Deposits

根據電信公司的政策，辦理月租門號時，您可能需要提供台籍保證人或支付保證金。保證金的具體金額會因電信公司的政策而有所不同。
Depending on the telecom provider’s policy, you may be required to provide a Taiwanese guarantor or pay a deposit. The deposit amount varies by company.

(1) 中華電信：
提供兩種選擇，台籍保證人（連同保證人雙證件）或保證金新台幣 2,900 元。
Chunghwa Telecom:
Two options: a Taiwanese guarantor (with their two IDs) or a deposit of NT$2,900.

(2) 台灣大哥大：
不需要提供台籍保證人或支付保證金。
Taiwan Mobile:
No guarantor or deposit required.

(3) 遠傳：
保證金新台幣 2,400 元。
FarEasTone:
Deposit required: NT$2,400.
